Solid Surface Worktops
Solid surface worktops are non-porous and very easy to clean and maintain. Corner connections can be designed with almost seamless joints - good for maintenance, pleasing to the eye. Solid surface worktops can in principle be processed like solid wood. For instance, the surface can be very finely sanded in a similar manner to wood. The advantage: minor traces of use or damage can be simply removed - and your worktop is as good as new.
Solid surface worktops are made from an acrylic-bound material. It possesses extraordinary properties that are of considerable advantage in interior design. High grade, pure basic materials, processed into a homogeneous composite material are the foundation for the superior quality. The uniform, absolutely even colouring and the closed, non-porous surface exerts an immediate fascination. A mineral material worktop surface offers not only optical highlights, it is solid and of a high density. It is resistant to stains & heat, hygienic, easy to clean, light-fast and warm to the touch.
The construction of the worktops is: 35mm chipboard with stabilising HPL balancer on the underside serves as substrate. The surface is faced with 3 mm Mineral material. The front edge is the same mineral material but a solid 12 mm thick! Between the front edge and the substrate an elastic expansion joint ensures a permanent bond.
