Wear Ratings
Laminate flooring is rated by wear rating numbers that start with AC1. Each AC number higher than 1 translates into a 60% heavier wear layer than the previous number. In other words AC2 is 60% heavier wear rating than AC1. That means that an AC4 is 120% heavier wear rating than AC2. Most of the floors that you will have seen at DIY centres contain AC2 or AC3 wear ratings. ProStyle does not supply any product with a wear rating less than AC3; however most of our laminates are AC4. This gives a very high protection against wear, staining and fading.
